Install OpenWrt on a Netgear WGT634U

  1. Upgrade your firmware to 1.4.1.9 or 1.4.1.10
  2. Backup your settings (if you want to restore the original state later): Backup Settings -> Save a Copy of Current Settings -> Backup
  3. Restore this settings file (to hack the webupgrade system)
  4. After a reboot of your WGT634U you can re-login and install your OpenWrt firmware image: Router Upgrade -> <select image file> -> Upload
